On 17-18 July
2003, Charge d'Affaires Ad Interim of the Indonesian Embassy,
Mr. Imron Cotan and other Heads of Mission in Canberra,
had made a familiarization visit with Australian Foreign
Minister, Mr. Alexander Downer to Cairns in Northern Queensland.
The visit, which was organized
by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia,
has given the opportunity to the Heads of Mission to see
and observe the Northern Queensland's economic and trade
development, as well as its tourism industry. The program
was also aimed at highlighting research activities in
environmental conservation and rainforest and marine biology.
