AusAID
in cooperation with the Centre for Developing Cities of
the University of Canberra is currently holding a short
term training course for 19 officials from regional government
offices throughout Indonesia to get knowledge on District
and Provincial Planning affairs. This program is part
of the Indonesia Australia Specialised Training Project
(IASTP) which is regularly carried out every year. The
course is aimed at ensuring the trainees understanding
on how to manage the change within their respective organisations
and how to apply this in developing and implementing strategic
as well as more detailed plans for their respective organisations.
The
trainees will be undergoing their training for 9 (nine)
weeks, from 14 April to 13 June 2003. A similar program
was run last year.
On 14
April 2003 the Indonesian Embassy in Canberra has hosted
a reception for the participants. They were welcomed by
the Charge d'Affaires of the Indonesian Embassy in Canberra,
Mr Imron Cotan and they had a chance to meet with senior
diplomats of the Embassy.
Below
