JOURNALIST VISA

        

        Editors/Journalist of Foreign Media (print/electronic): newspapers, magazines, news agencies, radio/television as well as film/video producers, including members of their crew, further referred to as film producers who intend to conduct a journalistic coverage/visit/assignment in Indonesia should apply for a permit from the government of Indonesia via Indonesian Representatives in Australia c/o Information Section of the Embassy, Consulate General or Consulate.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Application form fully completed in duplicate with two passport size photographs (2x2 inch).
  2. Application forms for Journalistic Visit, Curriculum Vitae and List of Filming Equipments and a Statement must be completed.
  3. Passport must be valid for at least 6 (six) months after the date of entry.
  4. A covering letter from the Company in Australia explaining the position of the applicant, the purpose of visit and duration of stay. If deemed necessary, a guarantee of the availability of funds to cover living expenses while in Indonesia.
  5. A copy of the airline ticket/itinerary from the travel agent.
  6. Visa fee A$ 60.00 and has to be made in money order or company cheque payable to the Indonesian Embassy.
  7. A single entry journalistic visa stay will be issued for up to 60 (sixty) days.
  8. It requires at least 3 (three) working days to process the visa. For certain purposes of journalistic visit, a visa shall be granted upon the approval by an authority in Indonesia.
  9. Payment of the visa administration fee does not guarantee that the application will be successful.
